Amidst the rural wilds of West Wales lies the historic estate of Waunifor. Nestling peacefully in a quiet nook of the Teifi Valley, the Waunifor grounds amount to some five acres, containing six charming stone cottages, the old mansion house, and a pleasing variety of gardens and natural habitats for numerous species of flora and fauna.

We have recently added some new eco-friendly buildings to the site: a large multi purpose hall (Cedar Hall) and The Rendezvous (a catering facility) as well as a superb pottery and craft studio.

The Waunifor estate was of great importance historically and still retains a distinct character and many original features including a walled garden and listed 'bee boles'.

Waunifor is located in a green valley half way between the charming market town of Carmarthen and the ancient university town of Lampeter. [MAP] We are on the border of two Welsh counties, Carmarthenshire 'the garden of Wales' to the south, and Ceredigion, with its spectacular heritage coastline to the north. The river Teifi is a few minutes away, as are other scenic walks and places to fish, cycle, paint or just relax in the clean and peaceful atmosphere.

As well as being a great getaway destination for holidays, Waunifor offers a varied programme of events including open days, craft and pottery classes and music and poetry evenings. Our subject range is also broad and includes topics such as sustainability, gardening, various arts and crafts , music, health and well being.

The Waunifor cottages (graded by the Wales Tourist Board as three and four-star) are available for self catering holidays and breaks, affording a great opportunity for visitors to get away from the stresses of daily life and relax and unwind in a tranquil environment. With accommodation for up to 36 people along with meeting rooms and catering options, Waunifor is perfect for group bookings and large family gatherings.
Waunifor has been largely refurbished and upgraded by a growing band of enthusiastic volunteers, who continue to maintain and enhance the grounds, assist with public events and help enormously with keeping everything beautiful. The level of volunteer support that Waunifor attracts is extraordinary - a real inspiration in the modern world.
