Dinossaur Facts.

  • A Tyranosaurus rex was the size of a 2 storey house and the female T - rex was more aggressive than the male (weird)!!

  • The smallest dinosaur was the size of a chicken!!

  • The word "Dinosaur" means "Terrible Lizard".

  • There were 2 main types of Dino's: Carnivores (meat eaters) and Herbivores (plant eaters).

          Here is an example of a food chain:

          Herbivore --> Carnivore --> Carnivore.

  • There were loads of different types of dinosaurs, Eg. Triceratops, Diplodocus, Tyrannosaurus, Stegosaurus and so on...

  • Dinosaurs lived for about 160 MILLION YEARS!!  From 220 Million years ago - 60 million years ago.

  • Dino's also lived on Earth.

  • Dinosaurs, despite being huge, were very, well, dumb.  They didn't even invent clothes!!  They probably think the opposite of us, though.

  • There have been lots of films about dinosaurs and people have used the idea of the way they look an alfoul lot.

  • It's a mystery how the dinosaurs died in such a short period of time.  Here are just some of the theories:

  1. An Asteroid crashed into the Earth.

  2. A Comet crashed into the Earth.

  3. A Volcano went of non-stop for ages and I mean ages.

  4. The plants all died.
